Aulani Always Has a Spot on Our Bucket List
What’s on your bucket list? This question has been asked every year among our family for as long as our kids could talk. Every year since our daughter could string multiple syllables together, her answer has been: “Hawaii is on my bucket list!”
After years of Hawaii being on the bucket list, I am proud to announce that our family has now all been to Hawaii, and Hawaii remains on the bucket list! The reason: IT. IS. AWESOME!
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa not only heeded, but also clearly exceeded expectations. This incredible beach and island resort allowed our family to step into a Hawaiian Island experience like only Disney could arrange. The Polynesian culture of the beautiful Hawaiian people was so captivating and impressive on so many levels.
Every detail of the resort had a story behind it and dripped with cultural impact and authenticity that helped our family feel like we did more than simply relax and enjoy a vacation; we experienced a culture and a story of beautiful people.
From the moment we drove onto the resort grounds we were met with plush grounds and jaw-dropping architecture displaying captivating art and décor. The beauty of the Pacific waters and the white sandy beaches nestled in among the palm trees soothed our souls and kept us repeating: “This is paradise.”
The pools, water slides, and the tubing through the lazy river all were spectacular. The food and beverages all were wonderful, and the Disney characters did not disappoint. However, the experience we still talk about is the Kawa’a Luau at Aulani. This evening easily made its way into the top ten events our family have ever experienced together in our wide array of travels throughout the globe. The food, the music, the storytelling, the hula dancing, and the captivating display of it all within the perfect, intimate setting on the Aulani grounds made for an evening we never will forget and will look forward to experiencing upon our return.
Our family of four loved every ounce that Aulani and the greater island of Oahu had to offer. Also, this is a vacation destination that multi-generational families would love as everyone has plenty to do both on the resort grounds, as well as through the many excursion options available for booking on-site. Whether it’s a daytrip to Pearl Harbor, opportunities to enjoy other beaches on the island, exploring the majestic landscape via horseback, hiking or all-terrain vehicles, or swimming with sea life after sailing on a catamaran, Hawaii and the island of Oahu has all the elements to experience the perfect trip of a lifetime.
Yes, Hawaii…specifically, Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, remains on our bucket list. It will never be crossed off. It always has a permanent place because it is worth returning again and again for anyone desiring to experience one of the most beautiful places on earth with Disney-level excellence. What’s on your bucket list? If Hawaii is, let’s book a trip today and help you experience the Aloha life that you’ve been waiting to enjoy!
